Pashion magazine teamed up with the Egyptian Air Force Musuem, ArtTalks Gallery and “Benhebek Ya Masr Foundation” for it’s 12th edition of its annual shopping event – Cairo’s Fashion Nights on Saturday Nov.28th, 2020.
This season’s edition of CFN at the Egyptian Air Force Museum offered our shopping savvy guests a very unique new experience within the very unique location that represents a vital part of Egypt’s great history.
The event was inaugurated by HE Dr.Nevine Gamea, Minister of Trade & Industry, who visited the museum grounds and all exhibitors and sponsors. HE.Dr.Hala El Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development also visited the museum and all exhibitors and sponsors. Other esteemed guests included the ambassadors of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Morocco,the EU, Portugal, Colombia and Uruguay as well as actresses Youssra, Ilham Shahine and Poussy Shalaby.
The over 30 fashion, accessories and jewelry designers that are showcased within the Museum’s historic planes, helicopters and archive material that portrays the Egyptian Air Force history from 1932 until date include Egypt’s very best such as Azza Fahmy, Temraza, Dima Rachid, Omnies, The Sahara Collection as well as Mitcha.com the leading online destination for Egyptian designers. Furniture pieces and lighting by Arkan, Caravanserai, Style Team Lighting and over 20 artists both independent and presented by ArtTalks Gallery including up and coming talents such as Jammal Bassiouni, Hesham Abdel Moaty or Ali Hassaan.
As always “giving back” was part of our initiatives, hence a percentage of sales were donated to “Tahia Masr”.
The students of the FDC- Fashion Design Center were once again present with the works of the most promising students, while the workshop of the Egyptian Clothing Bank gave visitors the opportunity to see the recycling and upcycling process of old garments and textiles. Handcrafts by the youth of the Egyptian Sports Federation for Intellectual Disabilities were also presented.
Our esteemed event sponsors included Export Development Bank Egypt and Eva Cosmetics with samples and VIP gift bags as well as DHL the events logistics partner. Event partners Style Team Lighting added style and light, while Gourmet and Cinnabon were providing guests with food & beverage refreshments while Red Bull #givesyouwings provided even more energy. The Egyptian Fashion & Design Council supported the event in our common goal to promote the industry.
