I’ve always been a huge Dior fan, and of Mr. Dior to be specific. The French house with its legendary designer have always symbolized a some what eternal elegance, and through owning one of their coveted bags or dreamy dresses you had a ticket to the sought after world of high fashion. Well im glad to say that now one can share the wonderful journey and experiences that have shaped the heart of Dior for decades. In a major exhibition this April, Dior and Russia’s Pushkin museum present “Inspiration Dior”, a sprawling showcase of the house’s entire product universe from 1947 to the present day. This amazing journey is set to take you through the Dior artistic creative sources of fashion and its different links to history, nature, painting, sculpture, drawing, photography and film.
Among the fashion highlights is a tribute to Monsieur Dior’s many inspirational muses as well as a huge display of the house’s recent acquisitions; the 1955 Richard Avedon photo “Dovima With Elephants will be featured, a personal favorite I might add!
Dior’s high-fashion dresses are set to take over the focal point of the presentation, with all the different styles, eras and designers being covered from Ferre to YSL to Galliano, who wont be attending after losing his job as creative director this year.

The showcase will be open to the public beginning April 28 and will continue to run through until July 24. So to all you Dior fans if you’re in the area, Moscow to be in specific, this is one exhibition not to be missed!
